If you are done with boring meetings at the workplace
then this blog is right up your alley. We’ve put together a fun list of some
places we wish we could have those dreary corporate meetings. Not only would
they be way more fun, but we would actually end up looking forward to them too!
Meadow
A meadow is place that most people
associate with their childhood. Having a boardroom presentation in the lushness
of a meadow is what my dreams are currently made of.
Stand-up
comedy bar
Think about it. Corporate meetings
were meant to be held in a comedy theater. Conference rooms are full of jokes
that fall flat or never quite take off. Maybe with the right atmosphere your
colleagues might actually be able to find their funny bone. And banging your
hand on a bar table looks far more appropriate rather than on a modern conference table.
Bowling Alley
Bowling Alley
Most people are jittery before
presenting at a big meeting. Bowling a strike or two is a great way to break to
break the ice and get the ball rolling, figuratively speaking. An added benefit
is that the lanes of bowling alleys can easily break the somberness of conference room furniture.
Ice cream parlors
Everybody melts at the
sight of this sugary delight. Facing and crunching tough numbers and bad sale
figures will go down a lot easier with these creamy cold treats. Serve up a bad
quarterly report along with an ice-cream sundae at an ice cream parlor instead
of a conference table, it might end
on a surprisingly sweet note. Ice cream parlors
Skydiving
Holding hands and forming groups is
a common activity practiced while skydiving. Surprisingly it’s the same in the
board room where senior employees often have to hand hold less experienced
staff through difficult meetings and projects.
Why not while performing this
adrenaline fueled activity then? After all no modern meeting room furniture can match the wide open skies.
Tree house
Tree house
As children we used to join forces
to make plans to execute some rather difficult missions that were more often
than not successful. Boardroom presentations aim to achieve similar objectives.
Why not conduct them at tree houses to recapture that spirit of limitless
possibilities and childish whimsy?
Yoga Classes
Yoga is known to calm nerves and
boost confidence. Two things that are needed most in any boardroom meetings.
Conducting meetings at a yoga studio will be beneficial not just financially
but also health wise. Swap boring conference
tables for colorful yoga mats and breathe in and breathe out.
